My Geeky Pies

Here are some of my fun pies that I’ve designed recently. I will add them here when I create a new pie design. Thanks for checking them out, I always appreciate your feedback and support.

Spring is in the air! Here’s a Flower Berry Cream Pie to help you celebrate!
An apple pie for my Aunt Colleen that I made years ago. She was living at a retirement home and didn’t want anyone stealing it 🙂
Happy Spring!! This is a Chocolate Coffee Cream Pie to get the new season started on the right foot!
Sweet Potato Pie. I made this for an order for a friend who works at the Bank of Canada (hence the theme), and he also fell in love with Sweet Potato pie on a road trip to Texas and asked me to make him one.
Apple Pie to celebrate Fall!
A Darth Vader Peach Pie for a birthday!
I’m a huge Superman fan (loved the original 1978 movie with Christopher Reeve especially), so this had to be done. This was early Spring, so I had to use frozen strawberries and mixed them with balsamic vinegar. Sounds crazy but a delicious combo!
Blueberry Pie is Marge’s (my 2nd mom) favourite pie, and SHE loves owls. She helped me so much with my parents’ house (we were neighbours since the 80s), so I made her this pie!
Peach Pie with some braids added for a pretty design. This was only my second attempt at braiding pastry. GF pastry is much trickier and delicate.
A fresh Blueberry Pie (unbaked) for my Mom. (along with pretty flowers, of course)
I’m calling this my Medieval Cherry Pie! I enjoyed trying to make a frame-type decoration with flowers. It was a striking contrast to the deep dark filling.
One of my favourite, and more modern, Christmas movies. Elf is always a fun one. Especially when he’s on an Apple Cranberry Pie with walnut streusel.
Another Back to the Future pie. This one’s Cherry! This was inhaled at approximately 1.21 jiggawats! 🙂
My Mom’s delicious creamy Pumpkin Pie recipe! A long time favourite
My Aunt Colleen’s favourite pie was fresh strawberry. When I brought this to her for her birthday, I had somehow changed the B to an R and it read “World’s Rest Aunt’ and she was very confused! haha (luckily I had some extra pastry letters handy….you never know when you’re going to spell things wrong. Ask me about my Detroit (Deroit) Red Wings Pie sometime lol
One of my favourite movies is a cult classic called Somewhere in Time which came out in 1980. (Christopher Reeve–riding on his popularity after Superman, and Jane Seymour). A beautiful, romantic time-travel movie that was filmed in Mackinac Island, Michigan (I have a blog story about this island– be sure to check it out). In this Cherry Pie movie scene, the two main characters meet ‘back in time’.
A fresh Blueberry Pie with blackberries and flowers!
My first attempt at pastry-braiding. When I was a kid, my friends and I would braid each other’s hair all the time. So when I got my pastry strips ready, the braiding technique would come right back to me, right? Solid no. There I was completely forgetting how to braid!! Well, it HAD been a gazillion years since I braided my, or anyone’s, hair so I guess it’s not that surprised. SO there i was looking up “How to braid” on YouTube! haha This is a Raspberry & Strawberry Pie.
I was quite the video game champion back in the mid 80’s when Atari was released. This one (Space Invaders) was definitely a favourite. The game is even more fun on a Blueberry Pie!

Salted Caramel Apple Pie I made for an order recently. Always a big favourite (who doesn’t love apple pie?)
When your Dog (my late dog, Mittan-she lived for 18 years! RIP—I miss her everyday) photo bombs your chocolate cream pie.
